Hostels in Helsinki and Stockholm

Staying an extra night in Helsinki or Stockholm, before or after the Eurohash weekend?

Here are two hostels in Helsinki, recommended by Man-in-Black:

In Stockholm there are several hostels in the Old Town plus these two on ships moored with a view of Old Town:

  • The Red Boat, hostel just South of Old Town in bar-rich area
  • af Chapman, British sailing ship from 1888 turned hostel

ABBA – the museum opened

Staying an extra Summer Night in Stockholm City? Take a Chance on visiting ABBA – the museum that has just opened. It’s SEK 195:- (about EUR 23:-) entrance fee.

If you want more hash-like experience, IPA’s and all kinds of tasty beer is hot in Stockholm right now and Scottish craft beer maker BrewDog have just opened their own brewery pub in Stockholm.

We will mark both the ABBA-museum and the BrewDog pub on the map available on the Stockholm-City Info page.

Payments up-to-date

Now all recent payments, in time for the May 1st price increase have been updated in the Who’s cumming list.

Right now we have:

      • 603 registered hashers
      • 497 that have paid
      • 414 that are cuming on the Thursday ferry from Stockholm

This means we are already fully booked in the hash-seating in the restaurant on-board the Thursday ferry where we have 400 seats, and very soon will be fully booked in the hash-seating of the main ferry on Saturday from Tallinn. So if you pay for Eurohash from now on, you will still get dinner on-board, but not in the same restaurant as most of the hashers.

Many new payments cuming in!

We are receiving many new payments now in time for the May 1st price increase. Banks, for some reason like to keep the money to themselves for a couple of days, so if you have made a bank transfer it might take a couple of day until we have received your money and can update your payment status. As long as you have started the transaction before May 1st, that’s OK.

Another hash-valid reason for not updating the payment status is that we are going to Interscandic  hash this coming weekend, where we will be hashing and enjoying Danish beer, not checking bank accounts :-)

If you have paid via Paypal or Payson, your payment status will be updated on May 1st.

Payment reminder sent out

A payment reminder has just been sent out to all that have registered or bought a raffle ticket, but still haven’t paid. The prices will go up by up to 100 EURO on May 1st, so:

Arriving early to Helsinki?

If you are arriving early to Helsinki there will be a hash on Thursday evening within easy commuting distance from the city centre. Hare: Shotgun. More details to come, but an on-in at a Czech beer bar is being investigated – thorougly I hope :-)

Meeting place in Helsinki

Beers on tap at Amsterdam pub

In Helsinki on Friday August 16th we will meet at the Amsterdam pub near Ruoholahti metro station. If you are joining the Eurohash-party in Helsinki, this is also where you register. If you joined us in Stockholm, you would already have registered and can enjoy a beer or two instead.

Second hotel in Tallinn booked

Ferry times confirmed

The departure and arrival times for the ferry transportation we are using have now been confirmed and are available on the Schedule page. There is no change compared to previous preliminary times.
